I have not been good at Christmas this year. Yesterday, I finally faced up to the fact that I would need to de-junk my spare room for my family. And put up the tree.

I spent the day at a friend’s house today. She hasn’t been feeling well lately–weird back pain. A doctor’s visit and a scan revealed that this was not a muscle strain or a kidney stone. It was an impacted colon. Probably several feet from the bowel.
